Planting for low maintenance

One of the key features of any garden is ease of maintenance. No matter how keen a gardener the owner is, making life easier is an important consideration for any planting plan.

The planting areas of the formal garden are shown on this page. There are defined areas all along the borders which will be planted with foilage colour in mind in order to add interest. The light blue is used to depict silver foilage.

The narrow borders will result in easier maintenance and will create a more delicate design, in keeping with the water features.

The rope and posts are shown in purple in the plans and will be used to train plants such as climbing roses.
